Yes. We use Windows' SetWindowDisplayAffinity API with the WDA_EXCLUDEFROMCAPTURE flag, which operates at the OS level. This makes the window invisible to all screen capture APIs used by Zoom, Teams, Meet, and OBS.
Does it require special microphone permissions? ▾
No. Ath AI Assistant uses system loopback audio capture via the soundcard library, which directly intercepts audio output — no microphone permissions are needed. It works with any audio playing through your system.
How fast are the AI responses? ▾
Typically under 1 second from question detection to response display. The pipeline is fully async: transcription streams over WebSocket, question detection is near-instant, and AWS Bedrock (Claude 3 Sonnet) returns responses in 600–900ms on average.
Is my audio data private? ▾
Audio is processed transiently through AWS (Transcribe + Bedrock) and is never logged or stored persistently. Nothing leaves the AWS pipeline to third parties, and all connections are encrypted in transit.
Which meeting platforms are supported? ▾
Ath AI Assistant works with any platform that uses system audio — Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Webex, Discord, and more. Since it captures loopback audio at the OS level, it's platform-agnostic.
